Christine Angela's Christmas Wish List

Christmas is fast approaching and I could not help but think about the things that I really want at the moment. I want so much more but I guess these things are on top of my list. They're not at all that high end (except for the Jimmy Choo Catherine Satchel) since I kind of know where I stand these days. I'll dream bigger when I feel like there's the slightest chance of myself getting those things.

My number one wish for this Christmas would have to be Christine Angela shooting out through the sky and reaching the point where I always imagined it to be. I wish for its success and monetary health so that I may be able to sustain its business life.

Aside from that, I'm pretty sure having these things would surely blow my mind. I'd be so happy to get even one of these for Christmas. ;-)

Jimmy Choo Catherine Satchel
I fell in love with the Jimmy Choo Cathering Satchel instantly when I saw it over at their boutique at Greenbelt 5 in Makati. I remember just staring at it in disbelief because of its pristine and classy style. I imagined holding it and carrying it around with me when I was slapped with the reality that I am so far from having this at the moment. I might have to say, though, that this is what keeps me going. Things like these, they stick to you and inspire you to do great things. Thank you, Catherine. Thank you for inspiring me to work hard so I can have you someday.

M.A.C. Super Professional 32 Piece Make-Up Set
I would have to admit, I do not know much about make-up but seeing these brushes makes me want to learn how to! Its kind of unreasonable for wanting this but I just know that if I do, I'd definitely jump right in and learn all that I could about make-up. Aren't they pretty? Ahhh, its love.

M.A.C. Liquidlast Eye Liner
I can not go out of the house without wearing a liquid eye liner. I need M.A.C.'s Liquidlast Eye Liner just because I've heard so many great reviews about it. Also, I am such a drama queen. I need all the waterproof make-up I can get.

Pink Tory Burch Buckle Wallet
This Pink Tory Burch wallet is so dreamy! I swear, the first time I saw it, I thought to myself "this is sooooo me!" It would be nice to have one of these. Might just give it to myself as a present if ever Christine Angela does well in the upcoming Holiday Rush 3 Bazaar! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Topshop Antelope Animal Print Wedge Platform Boots
This is currently out of stock over at Topshop. :( Look at those pair of Wedges! The leopard print just spells out CLASS. These would surely look good on a nice and tight black party dress or even a pair of denim shorts and a sexy tank top. Whew!

Apple iPhone 4
Apple iPhone 4! Have you seen my phone lately? It looks like its been through history and back. Its so beat up I can barely see the letters on its key pad. I would love to have this please!

Parisian Sling Bag on Sale

Today, I decided to walk around SM Southmall to change a wee bit of my working environment. All the clutter in my room and the things that I do for school are driving me nuts! I chose to go to SM since its the only mall nearest to my place. Surprisingly, ever since they started the renovation, it changed a lot! It has become pretty cozy and the brands have upgraded to classier ones. They already have Terra Nova, Peacock, Aldo, and lots of other amazing international clothing brands. :-)

Anyway, I went there primarily to get a whole Worksheet Pad for my Accounting Class. After the short queue at National Bookstore, I decided to roam around the Department Store. I was there anyway so why not take a look around. ;-)

As I passed by the bags area, there was a huge sign that said "50% Off." Frugal as I needed to be at the moment, I resisted the urge to walk towards it. To no avail, I stood there looking around at what they have to offer. To my surprise, there was a bag that just caught my eye and guess what, a classic gray  mini sling bag for only P399.00 ON 50% OFF.

P200.00 for this gorgeous Mini Sling Bag with Synthetic Leather. I feel great about it. It was like I knew I had to get it or else I'll never get that kind of chance again. What I love about it the most is the base filled with pristine golden spikes. I personally think it added sass without sacrificing its classy feel.

Affordable Nail Spa at Taft Avenue, Manila

I usually don't have classes during Wednesdays but yesterday, we were required to go to Father Salcedo's seminar for TREDFOR. Being the graduating college student that I am (most of my blockmates and friends have already graduated), I usually go around school alone. As I sat in the seminar room with nothing else but my thoughts and my phone to keep me busy, I realized how I wanted to pamper myself after a couple of months trying to pull Christine Angela from the ground up. These hands have been through so much that I can't remember the last time I went to the salon or spa to get them cleaned thoroughly as well as massaged and all that.

I met a close friend (the other model in the first scarf collection photos) and asked her if she wanted to go for a mani-pedi treatment. She gladly agreed to it as if she had that in mind just as well! We went to the Burgundy Tower which is just across De La Salle University Manila and headed straight to Nail Files.

Nail Files in Taft was a very soothing place to get your nails done. It is unlike the usual salons where the whole place is so bright that you can almost see the pores of the person standing next to you! As we entered, we were greeted with darkness and a mild flowery scent. We were seated on a solo comfy couch where we were served with colorful and fluffy pillows in preparation for the treatment. The only light was from the lamps focused on our hands and feet. Did I even mention that they play such calming music? It was such a great experience.

I chose hot pink as the color. I forgot the brand name but it was under their "regular polish" basket. I loved how Ate Lisa did my nails. She gave me arm to hand and leg to foot massages with a scented oil. I'm definitely coming back for more!

November 11, 2011

As the clock showed 11:11PM on November 11, 2011, we witnessed hundreds (or maybe even thousands) of lanterns soaring through the night sky. Christine Angela participated in this epic event over at the Cuenca Park in Ayala Alabang Village to celebrate this grand day. The place was so crowded since there were a lot of tenants setting up their booths as well for the upcoming Saint James Christmas Bazaar (2011).

As I watched the lanterns go up the sky and slowly disappear, I was bewildered by how they floated straight up above - all so bright and calm. I just suddenly realized that those lanterns could signify our dreams; our hearts' long calling to be something or to create something. There's a need for us to light up our heart's desires - a need for us to find that spark; and when we do, we patiently wait for that spark to grow into a flame. As the flame gets bigger, we hold on to our dreams and carefully hold it - not too tight, not too loose. After a while, we then feel how its ready to shoot out through the sky and be an amazing sight to the world.

I wish for everyone's dreams materialized. For those frustrated about the purpose of their existence, for those who are lost and torn between what others want for them and what they want for themselves, for those who have been wanting to shoot out through the sky, and for everybody who have not ran after their dreams just yet. Here's to you.

Cheers. :-)

Pushing Fashion Forward in the Philippines

WE DON'T BELIEVE IN RULES.
We create styled that make our clients stand out the most in a crowd full of people living inside the lines.
WE DON'T IMITATE.
We create clothes that push fashion to the edge so we can start a revolution.
WE MAKE NOISE...
Because we believe that's how fashion is supposed to be.

Christine Angela's First Ever Bazaar

Well, Christine Angela just joined its first ever bazaar last weekend (November 5 -6, 2011) at the Cuenca Community Center, Ayala Alabang Village. It was organized by the Soroptimist International of Alabang. The experience was pretty overwhelming given the fact that it was our first time and we really did not have any idea how it goes.

It was a bit disappointing because of the many factors that affected the attendance of potential customers. Aside from the really bad weather, I think everybody was out enjoying the holidays. I also noticed how the bazaar wasn't at all promoted as well so nobody knew it was there. A friend (who happens to live a couple of blocks away) was shocked to see us there. He said he did not even know that there was a bazaar happening at the courts. Another friend went there because of our fan page updates about a bazaar happening at Cuenca! For the whole weekend, there was barely any foot traffic. It was such a lonely little place.

We packed up on Sunday night really tired and quite unsatisfied with the whole week-end. Ah well, it was really fun to have gorgeous friends come over to man the booth for the weekend. The whole experience was quite tiring but the learnings that we acquired out of it are very essential. Next time, We'll make sure to join bazaars appropriate for our style and just go even crazier with our booth ideas!

We'll continue to create more designs that would definitely make a lot of noise in the scene. What we ask from you is to give us a chance to prove to you that we are worth your attention. We promise to satisfy your taste and craving for never before seen styles.

Below are some of the photos taken from the bazaar! Enjoy! Feel free to comment. :> We'd love to hear from you!
